About our program:
Clients are able to participate 2 times in the program per year per deployment. We suggest a pre-deployment session, and the homecoming session if possible.
We try to keep the session with a patriotic edge, flags, boots, helmets, uniforms, but we still want them to be fun and special for the families. Once your loved one is scheduled to come home, a photographer will go with you (upon availability) to the airport, hangar, pier side, etc to capture those first very special moments when you all are reunited as a family.
Some Important Facts to Know
- You should NEVER be asked to pay any type of fee for the session or the (1) album. Please contact Admin ASAP if you are asked to pay for a session, quoted a session rate, or for a cost of the album.
- Photographers volunteer to waive their session fees and then agree to send the deployed person an album once the images are complete, overseas- or if a homecoming session, the album is given directly to the soldier because he/she is home. This organization was designed to help boost moral to those who are away from their homes and their loved ones.
- Photographers are not required to travel, or to offer anything outside of the session waivers and album. They are also not obligated to "promise" to be available for both sessions, however they do their very best to try and accommodate as many sessions as they can.
- Many photographers choose to offer other services, discounts, products, etc., for a discounted rate, but that is solely up to them.
- Some photographers may only participate in one type of session. So please talk to them before any assumptions are made.
- All OpLove sessions are completely based and scheduled on the photographers time. Please search the "Locate" portion of the website to find a photographer in your area. If your region has a Regional Coordinator, please contact them first, so they may put you in contact with a photographer to suit your needs. http://www.oplove.org/oplovefinder
- Your family is eligible for 2 sessions per year/deployment. (i.e. a predeployment OR already gone and homecoming) If your service member deploys more than once you are welcome to the service again, so long as it's not within the same year.
Thank you!
